Radical Heights is a free *X-TREME Early Access* Battle Royale shooter. Partake in high-stakes gun play in a sunny SoCal dome as you loot for weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and CASH that you take with you – win or lose! Survive to the end or risk it all in this irreverent action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous!
Radical Heights, the free new battle royale from the developer of LawBreakers, has its own unique spin on the victory celebration. Whenever you are the victor the game plays the Joe Esposito song “You’re the Best” from Karate Kid.
Radical Heights launched on April 10th in Early Access. It’s rough in many ways, as you’d expect from a game that’s still early in development, although some of the omissions–like the absence of playable female characters, who won’t come until later–have proven more bothersome than others. The game does try to offer its own unique take on battle royale, such as letting you ride a bike and buy things from in-game vending machines (or store money in ATMs for future matches).
The developer Boss Key says it plans to be in Early Access for about a year. It’s available as a free download on steam, although a Founder’s Pack is available for sale that contains cosmetics and in-game currency.
In a tweet issued Monday, Boss Key announced changes to the game’s Founder’s Pack, a $14.99 add-on filled mostly with cosmetic items. Fans took issue with a 10 percent cash bonus that would have given owners of the Founder’s Pack the ability to earn more in-game currency compared to other players. This was to prevent a “pay to win” feel.
